I've seen these in Boot's and Claire's for years but never really thought about using them. I think because buns in your hair weren't really in fashion unless you were doing ballet classes. Now however they are most definately 'in' and the bigger the better.I have long hair but just couldn't get the volume I wanted by creating a bun in my own hair so the next time I was browsing Claire's - I bought one in my hair colour. It was £2.99 well spent.
It's so easy to use, you just put your hair in a high pony, put your pony through the middle of the doughnut, wrap it around the sides as you would a normal bun and then pin with kirby grips.

I used it for a wedding the other day and my boufed bun was in place the whole day and night. Mine is a medium sized ring so now I want an even bigger doughnut for a bun of J-Lo proportions!
