Dyelash but not Dyebrows

I'm into saving money wherever possible and if that means getting my eyebrows tinted at home by my own fair hands then that's good news to me. My hair's dark (at the moment) so I'm finding myself applying a little more eyebrow pencil than is necessary; so I scanned the shelves in Boots and came across Eyelur Dyelash - Permanent dye for eyelashes and eyebrows lasting up to 45 days. I opted for dark brown paid around £7 and trotted off home very pleased with myself.

It's pretty easy to use, you have to mix the dye and solution together into a little dish which is supplied in the box before adding it onto your brows. The instructions are a little vague about the proportions of each element in the mixture and I was slightly concerned when I read 'If nothing happens, perhaps you added too much or too little solution'??? At one point my dressing table did resemble something of a GCSE chemistry lesson but the mixture was prepared and then I brushed it onto my brows using the brush provided.

I waited for the 15mins as per the instructions - no change, I waited another 5mins - still no changed at minute 20 I decided to remove the potion in fear of loosing my eyebrows all together and alas - no change. After wiping away all the residue I did think my brows looked slightly darker but in normal light I realised they weren't and it was just my imagination.

In my opinion there was no change to my brows and it was 20 mins of my life that I'll never get back. Perhaps Dyelash works better on lashes than brows as the name suggests. My quest for darker brows continues, watch this space.

  1. Mmm, is eyelash dye safe though??? What if it gets in your eyes? Shazza

  2. I've got very pale lashes and it works wonders on them. If it gets in my eyes is stings but I just use a wet cotton bud and remove it.
