Things that go 'Bumpits' in the night

Now - I have to admit I am a bit of a sucker for some good (or even not very good) marketing. I was browsing the internet with a colleague (not during my work time obviously) and came across Bumpits. I'm a big fan of backcombing and these little fellas claim to be an easy way of giving your hair that 'Cheryl' height without the fine toothed comb! I thought they sounded great so we bought a set each, one blonde and one brunette.

I was like a child on Christmas morning when I ripped open the packet at home. This was very short lived as I just couldn't get the bad boys to look good in my hair. I followed the instructions to a T and I don't have particularly thin hair but however I tried, you could see the plastic! I literally tried for about 20 mins and then gave up, shoved them in the back of a drawer and that's where they remain.

My friend didnt have much luck with them either so its back to the backcombing for us!
