IPL - laser hair removal

It's really not as painful as you think!

A very good friend of mine introduced me to Groupon recently and a deal popped up for IPL. Now I'm not very hairy but permanent hair removal is something we could all do with am I right? The deal was for 6 sessions for £139 at a local salon. That means one medium size area (bikini) or two smaller areas (under arms) so I flexed my flexible friend and snapped it up.

I'd done my research and knew I wanted IPL and not electrolysis and I opted for the bikini area (!) I was expecting it to hurt but the patch test was over in a second and I've just had my first session. 15mins in and out with nothing but the feeling of a tiny elastic band snapping against your skin every so often!

It was slightly embarrasing when the therapist told me they have issued new guidelines since my patch test which meant Id turned up with 3 wks hair growth but now you are meant to be freshly trimmed so she soon whipped her clippers out for me(!)

Ive got to wait another 5 weeks for the next treatment as it takes that long for the next lot of hair. So far I can see that some hair is dropping out but Ill have to wait and see the final results. I never thought it would be so pain free - as for the permenant results... watch this space. Look out on Groupon for other IPL offers in your area.
